My Approach:

When children and teenagers act out, withdraw, or fail to meet expectations, there is always a reason behind their behavior. Although adults may not immediately understand or recognize their motives, I believe that these behaviors are meaningful forms of communication. My goal is to understand these communications, so that parents and their children can begin to move forward with empowered perspectives, using practical and effective strategies for growth and improvement.

I work with children as young as 3 and teenagers up to 19 years old. My focus areas include anxiety, defiance, social-emotional awareness and regulation, verbal and physical aggression, ADHD, ODD, academic struggles, and oppositional behaviors. I also have a special interest and over 25 years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum.

I support families by providing a safe space for kids to express themselves, while offering guidance and direction to adults. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs, helping everyone involved understand behaviors and develop tools for positive change.
